Carrie Ann Cascarano-House, age 37, passed away peacefully on May 13th, 2022, at 2:15pm at Labette Hospital, surrounded by family. A Celebration of Ife Service will be held on Sunday, June 5th, 2022, at 2pm at the Cherryvale Community Center (old armory) in Cherryvale, Kansas. Memorials are suggested to the Mrs. C’s Memorial Fund and can be left at Community National Bank and Potts Chapel.
Carrie was born in Sacramento, California on September 6th, 1984, to Christopher Kirk Cascarano and Judith Ann Langrud. They lived their until moving to Carmet, California when she was in her early teens. Carrie attended school in Tomales, California and graduated in 2003. During her high school years, she worked for equestrian centers and boarding facilities. She attended Santa Rosa Jr. College and received her Vet Tech degree.
In 2005, while working at the Humane Society in Sonoma County, she had her daughter Olivia Saucedo. Carrie moved to Kansas in 2009 and had her son, Denver. She and Howard started dating in 2009 and were married in 2011. During that time, they fostered kids for 5 years, and adopted 3 siblings in 2018.
She enjoyed 4-H with her children and became a 4-H leader. She had several traits as a vet tech, co-owner in NOR CAL@ Fed Ex, and a paraprofessional for 7 years, all while taking college classes at Labette Community College and Wichita State University pursing her bachelor's degree in Elementary education.
Preceding her in death are her parents and grandparents.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband Howard and their children: Olivia, Denver, Carter, Shawn and Lucy, stepson: Christopher Furr, her mother-in-law Connie Bennett, sister-in-laws: Tina Urenda and Tonya Billings and many nieces and nephews, and special extended family Rebecca, Jeff, Melinda and Sharon.
