Duane Rousselle

Duane Albert Rousselle, 97, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2020 in Cherryvale, Kansas with his son by his side.

Duane was born on March 16, 1923 in Max, Nebraska to Albert and Helena (Brethower) Rousselle. He graduated from Max High School in 1941 and then on June 18, 1944 he married his high school sweetheart, Marjorie Ellen Wiley. The two made their homes in Stratton, Nebraska, Benkelman, Nebraska and Phillipsburg, Kansas. In Phillipsburg, Duane retired from the Co-op. Shortly after retiring, he and his wife Marjorie moved to Bartlesville, Oklahoma to be closer to their son. Duane loved fishing, hunting and restoring antique cars.

He is preceded in death by his dear wife, Marjorie, parents, Albert and Helena Rousselle, and sister Evelyn Buller.

Duane’s memory will live on with his son, Alan Rousselle and wife Judy of Cherryvale, KS, daughter, Sandi Ben and husband Tom of Springboro, OH., sister, Fern Zerbe of Glasgow MT., five grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren.
