Louise Mable Moreland, 93, of Cherryvale, Kansas passed away at her home on Friday, January 14, 2022. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Potts Chapel. The family has held a private a Celebration of Louise’s life.
Louise was born on May 3, 1928, in Alstead, New Hampshire to John and Eva (Hall) Campbell. She attended school in New Hampshire. On May 24, 1996, Louise married Virgil Moreland in Cherryvale, Kansas. Louise worked for 2 years as a cashier at Walmart but spent most of her time tending to the home as Virgil spent time on the road driving a truck. She was a member of the New Hope Christian Church. Louise loved to spend time at the Cherry Lanes bowling alley, tend to her garden and look after her dog Missy.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Eva Campbell, daughters, Sharon Heinecke, Cheryl Toothman, and Kathy Gohl, brother, Donald Campbell, and sister, Rebecca Bowles.
Her memory will carry on with her husband, Virgil Moreland of Cherryvale, Kansas, son, Ken and wife Cathy O’Keefe of New York, daughters, JoAnne Mastin of Cherryvale, Kansas and Darleen and husband Ronnie Reynolds of New York, stepdaughter, Patty Puliafico of California, and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations be made in Louise’s name to the New Hope Christian Church.
