Mark Edward Housel

Mark Edward Housel, passed peacefully on June 4, 2023, at the Cherryvale Care Center. Mark was born on October 11, 1963, in Independence, to Charles and Ann Housel.

Those left to carry on his memory are his loving mother Ann, Sister Cindy Dean, niece Sheree Smith and Nephew Clint Dean, along with many others who will miss him very much.

Mark had a love for music, heavy equipment, and his beloved University of Kansas Football and Basketball.

He would always light up a room with his presence bringing a smile to everyone’s face.

The family will have a private burial. In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations be made to the special Olympics and may be left at the funeral home.
