Robert Tedstrom

Robert Wayne (Bobby) Tedstrom, age 81, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2018 at Cherryvale Nursing and Rehab Center in Cherryvale, Kansas after a short illness. Visitation will be held at Potts Chapel in Cherryvale, Kansas on Thursday, December 6th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 7th at 10:00 am at Potts Chapel in Cherryvale following with a private family interment at Mound Valley Cemetery beside his father, mother and brother.
Bobby was born at home on a farm near Mound Valley, Kansas to Howard Francis and Mildred Elizabeth (Traxson) Tedstrom. Bobby was the youngest of three boys. They all attended elementary school at Henderson District 83 until the family moved to a farm near Morehead, Kansas in February of 1948. They all finished school at Morehead and Labette County Community High School. After graduation Bobby was employed in Wichita, Kansas before moving to Kansas City, Kansas where he was employed as a finishing artist for an architectural firm. He always wanted to return to the farm, so Bobby purchased 80 acres, where he developed and lived until he moved to the home place to care for his mother until her death. He spent the remainder of his life farming and caring for all the land until he semiretired.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Darrell Tedstrom.
He is survived by his brother, Harley and wife Helen Tedstrom, nephew, Douglas and niece Robin Tedstrom.
