Steven Scott Page, affectionately known as "Mountain Man," was born on May 19, 1968, in Norfolk, Nebraska. He left this earth unexpectedly on June 25, 2026, at Freeman Hospital West, leaving his family and friends in profound shock and sorrow.
A dedicated truck driver, Steven devoted many years to the road, earning a reputation for his unwavering commitment, particularly in his later years hauling mail. He radiated joy and warmth, always ready with a wave from his beloved red pickup truck, and exemplified a spirit defined by kindness and a readiness to lend a helping hand. Those who knew him will fondly remember his unparalleled ability to fix anything and his talent for nurturing others' skills-qualities he lovingly shared with his wife, Cindy, as he taught her the intricacies of working on cars.
Over the years, Steven's expertise earned him a lead role among his fellow drivers, ensuring that mail was delivered punctually while also managing repairs in the garage when vehicles faced challenges. His passion for tinkering and craftsmanship transformed his workshop into a sanctuary of creativity and problem-solving.
Steven Scott Page will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A graveside service will be held on July 1, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Fairview Cemetery in Cherryvale, Kansas. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the community for the overwhelming kindness and support during this difficult time.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Cindy Page; his mother, Ottilie Page; his sister, Marie Page; and six brothers: Vigil, James, Dan, Bruce, Mike, and Tom Page. His legacy will also live on through his two step-daughters, Misty Marchant and Jessica Lever; his step-son, John Patton; his three grandchildren, Kayla, Owen, and Kit; his great-grandchild, Ellody, his two devoted dogs, Rascal and Jax; and numerous cherished nieces and nephews.
Steven was preceded in death by his father, James V. Page. Although Steven may have departed from this world, his spirit will forever resonate in the hearts of those who loved him. He will never be forgotten.
