Tacy Louise Keller, born December 1, 1964, slipped away peacefully on April 13, 2026, after a brief (or sudden) battle with illness. Tacy was a bright light in the lives of everyone who knew her, embodying warmth, creativity, and a genuine love for family and friends.
Raised with roots that run deep in Kansas, Tacy graduated from Shawnee Mission North High School in 1983 before making her home in Bellbrook, Ohio, where she worked as a contractor—a profession she approached with the same passion and precision she brought to all areas of her life.
Her talents were many and varied: she was a wiz in the kitchen, a cake decorator with an eye for detail, and a gifted interior designer who had a knack for transforming any space into a warm and welcoming haven. Beyond these skills, she loved camping, music, and sharing laughter-filled moments with those she held dear. Her grandson, Percy Joel Smith, always called her his "Happy," a simple nickname that perfectly captured her joyful spirit and the comfort she gave to those around her.
Tacy’s family was her heart. She is lovingly remembered by her husband Michael Keller; her daughter Amanda Rose (Keller) Smith and son-in-law Robert Smith; her sons Zachary Paul Keller and Leander Kern, and daughter-in-law Maria Kern; as well as her grandson Percy Joel Smith. Her siblings Jeanne Bramwell, Donna Reed, and Edna Delcoure, along with brother Bill Ussery and brother-in-law Charlie Delcoure, also cherish her memory. Her life was enriched further by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who counted her as a beloved presence.
Tacy was preceded in death by her father, Donald G. Ussery, and her mother, Rosemarie Ussery.
A memorial service to celebrate Tacy’s life will be held on April 18, 2026, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Potts Chapel, 403 Clark St, Cherryvale, Kansas. Her final resting place will be alongside her mother and other family members in Fairview Cemetery.
Tacy's family invites those who knew and loved her to join in remembering her vibrant spirit and the joy she brought to so many lives. Her legacy of kindness, creativity, and unconditional love leaves a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
The family requests memorial donations be made to a charity of choice.
