William (Bill) Toliver age 78 of Cherryvale, Kansas passed away at Windsor Place in Coffeyville, Kansas on April 30th, 2020 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. A visitation will be held at Potts funeral home in Cherryvale Kansas on May 6th from 12-7 P.M. with family present from 5-7 P.M. A small service will be held at the Fairview cemetery in Cherryvale, May 7th at 10 A.M.
Bill was born on October 8th 1941 at home in Coffeyville Kansas to Bill and Marie (Moore) Toliver. Bill attended schools in Coffeyville and graduated from Field Kinley High School in 1959. Bill Married Lea (Shirley) together they had 3 children; Allen, Steven and Julie. They later divorced. In 1989 he then married Mildred (Beye) White, who had 2 children, Raymond and Renea White. Bill also raised 2 of his grandchildren Amber (White) Bryant and Melissa (White) Neeley.
While in high school Bill worked at a bakery, Montgomery Wards, Stapletons, and Ryders Trucks. He worked for John Deere Works (Funks) from 1973 till retirement in 2003 with 30 years of service. Bill enjoyed car shows, and working on vintage cars especially his 1975 Corvette. He also enjoyed motorcycles and was a member of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association (GWRRA) for many years. He enjoyed traveling all around the US. He loved going to the senior dances in South East Kansas. He loved working outside and playing around with this grandkids and great grandkids.
Bill is survived by his wife Millie Toliver, 2 sisters Mary (Frank) Mansfield of South Coffeyville OK. And Linda (Jake) Lewis of Cherryvale KS. A brother Teddy Toliver of Claremont NH. 2 sons Allen (Donna) Toliver of Springfield Mo. And Steven (Cindy) Toliver of Ramona OK. 2 daughters Julie (Curtis) Stewart of Coffeyville KS. And Renea Ferguson of Cherryvale KS. He also had 11 grandchildren, 25 great- grandchildren with one on the way and 3 great-great grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his parents, step-son Raymond White, and granddaughter Ashley White.
